LEVEL UP WITH
CATALYST COMPANY
At Catalyst, auditions aren’t about intimidation—they’re about discovery. We’ve designed our audition process to give every dancer the opportunity to be seen, supported, and challenged in a way that reflects who they truly are.
Audition Week is structured in phases, allowing dancers to first learn and prepare choreography, then showcase their technique and performance in person, and finally connect with our team through individual evaluations. This approach ensures we’re not just placing dancers based on one moment—but understanding their full potential.
We’re not just building teams—we’re building artists, work ethic, and confidence. Whether your dancer is stepping into auditions for the first time or looking to level up, our process is intentional, encouraging, and designed to bring out their best.
Catalyst Company Requirements
Company dancers are expected to participate in weekly classes and rehearsals designed to develop strong technique, performance quality, and artistry. Training is structured to challenge dancers at a high level while supporting individual growth within a team environment.
Training & Commitment
Company dancers participate in weekly classes and rehearsals designed to build strong technique, performance quality, and artistry. Dancers are required to commit to a minimum number of training hours each week, which will vary depending on their level and team placement.

Our program includes a balance of local and out-of-state competition seasons to provide well-rounded exposure. Dancers are offered additional conventions and optional competition opportunities.
Dancers will also participate in a professional photoshoot, including headshots and skill shots, to help build their performance portfolio.

Audition Week Schedule
Choreography + Skills
On July 1, we will release choreography videos and skill requirements for each level, which will be performed at auditions. Don’t worry—our teachers will guide dancers every step of the way; this process simply helps us determine the best placement and growth opportunities for each dancer.
Interviews + Photoshoot
July 14th 10AM-6PM
Our goal is to prepare dancers for real-world, paid opportunities, and a big part of that is introducing them to an audition process similar to what they’ll experience professionally. Before auditions, each dancer will have a casual “interview” with our teachers to help us get to know them and build confidence in public speaking, followed by a photoshoot where they’ll receive headshots and 2–3 skill shots to showcase their abilities—provided to them at no cost if they join the Catalyst team.
3
In Person Prep
On July 13th at 5:30 PM at Catalyst Dance Studio, dancers will participate in an in-person choreography and technique review. This is the perfect opportunity to work with our teachers, get help with choreography, and practice in a supportive environment while getting to know future teammates.
Auditions
Following the interview and photoshoot, will be final auditions. This is where dancers get the chance to showcase the choreography they’ve learned and demonstrate their skills for our teachers. Team placements will be announced via email on Friday, July 17th.
